Court Skills for Non-Legal Professionals

This course provides a good working knowledge of the British court systems and equips learners with the relevant skills and confidence to operate as a ‘non-legal’ professional within the legal system.

This is a one day training course, which will provide participants with a good working knowledge of the British court systems, both criminal and civil, and equip them with the relevant skills and confidence to operate as a ‘non-legal’ professional within the legal system.

By the end of the day, participants will:
  • Have explored the expectations and preconceptions of the legal system
  • Understand the legal context of the work of courts, the individual roles of legal professionals and the expectations of non legal professionals
  • Have examined the role of evidence, proof and procedure within the legal system
